Description: Dust off your boots, shine up your spurs and come celebrate National Day of the American Cowboy, July 26th from 6-9pm at Old Prairie Town at Ward-Meade Historic Site. Discover the rich heritage of the American Cowboy and the western way of life.
Entertainment will include The Wild Women of the Frontier, The Bart Plasterson’s Gang, and Kyler Carpenter. Other activities include; a rope making demonstration, Roy Frey’s cowboy hat display, a pelt display, clothespin doll making, gunnysack races, spoon and egg races for the children. The Potwin Drug Store will be open for fountain treats, the Mulvane General Store will be open for shopping and a food vender will be on hand. All the historic buildings in the park will be open for viewing
