Description: A fund-raising event, the Comfort-Laha Poker Run Charity, will be held this weekend on Saturday, June 21, 2008, for two longtime Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) Topeka employees and their families. This event will help to raise funds for former KDOT employee, Pat Laha, who recently passed away after battling pancreatic cancer, and for KDOT employee, Keith Comfort, who is now battling the very same disease.

When: Saturday, June 21, 2008
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m.; Ride starts at 2:00 p.m. from the KDOT Parking Lot, 101 Gage Blvd. (Gage Blvd. & I-70)
Where: Event begins in Topeka at the KDOT Parking Lot at 101 Gage Boulevard and ends in Hoyt. (See attached map for Poker Run route.)
Cost: Donation $20 per rider - ALL proceeds equally to both families
Food and drinks will be available. Prizes/drawings for the ride participants.
After-ride Benefit Dinner & Activities
When: Saturday, June 21, 2008, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Where: Hoyt Community Center , Hoyt , Kansas
A Benefit Dinner will follow the Poker Run. After-ride activities include live entertainment, raffle drawing and a silent auction to be held during the evening event.
