Description: First staged at WU in June, the play centers on a nun who grows suspicious when a priest begins taking too much interest in the life of a young male student at a parochial school. The play creates a provocative study of the tenuous nature of faith and the inconstancy of justice. The playwright, John Patrick Shanley won the 1987 Academy Award for Writing Original Screenplay for the film “Moonstruck,” and wrote and directed the 1990 film “Joe Versus the Volcano.”
