Walk on the Wildside--the Stroke Walk

Description: Join stroke survivors, friends and families of the American Stroke Foundation (ASF) on September 6 as they participate in the organization's 6th annual Walk on the Wildside--the Stroke Walk at Shawnee Mission Park--Theatre in the Park at 7900 Renner Road in Shawnee, Kansas. Registration for the walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Nearly 500 stroke survivors, their families and friends are expected to
participate in the walk, benefiting the programs and services that the
non-profit American Stroke Foundation provides to survivors with the
goal of raising $100,000.
At this family event, participants can choose from one of two routes, a
three-mile route or a shorter one and a half mile route. Registration
costs $25 per person and includes a continental breakfast and a
tee-shirt. There is no charge for children under 11. Walkers may
participate as a team or as individuals and walkers are invited to
bring dogs on leashes to join in the walk. Online registration is available
