Drive-by shooting Jeremy Crowder, 24, of Topeka, was the victim of a shooting. He arrived at a Topeka hospital January 19. He said men in one car started shooting into his car in the 1200 block of SW Washburn Ave. Crowder had three children in the back of the car. One was hit by flying glass, but not badly hurt.

Homicide Ibin Sultan Mohammad, 27, died from gunshot wounds. Topeka Police and Shawnee County Sheriff's deputies responded to the shooting at 1037 SW Garfield, Apt. 12 on January 19. Law enforcement indicate an argument led to the shooting.

El Azteca shooting Six people were injured after a shooting in the rear parking lot of the El Azteca, a bar and nightclub, January 18. A 15-year-old was in his backyard two blocks away when he was hit by a stray bullet. The victims were not badly injured, according to Topeka police.

21st and Fillmore Street shooting One man was injured after a shooting at Bristol Ridge Apartments in Southwest Topeka January 21. One person fired three shots at the victim who was in his car. The suspects tried to get away, but police were able to catch one of them. Police are still looking for the other man.

Man injured Officers say 27-year-old Keisonn Smith arrived at a hospital with multiple gun shot wounds January 12 at 17th and Lincoln. He was sitting in his car near 17th and Lincoln when a brown Buick pulled up and the person inside opened fire.

Woman injured Topeka Police say a woman was shot in the hand at 17th and Lincoln, but was able to drive herself home where she was taken to the hospital by her roommate. She was shot while driving her car January 27.

Drive by in Hi-Crest Multiple gunshots were heard in the 3200 block of SE Bryant February 2. Bullets damaged homes and cars, but no one was injured. The shooting happened in broad daylight.

1134 SE Pinecrest Two men were taken to the hospital with injuries after bullets came through their home at 1134 SE Pinecrest February 6.

2710 SE Kentucky That numerous shots were fired into a house at 2710 SE Kentucky shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday. A 4-year-old was injured.

2631 SE. 11th A 53-year-old woman was walking her dog in front of the house 2631 SE 11th. Her dog growled as a man walked by them. The man pulled a gun, shooting both the woman and her dog.

Attempted robbery at Phillips 66 A store clerk was threatened with a handgun. A customer inside the store, who was licensed to carry a concealed weapon, drew his handgun and threatened the suspect. The 17-year-old suspect was shot. The attempted robbery occurred January 19.

Mall shooting A shooting at West Ridge Mall February 3 ended with suspects leading police on a chase before being captured.
