Gardening Tip 2: Sow your seeds on Mother's Day
8:56 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006
Gardners beware. Freezes can occur into May. In fact, last year, some gardners were caught off-guard when a freeze came on May 3, said Annette Jackson, co-owner of Jackson's Greenhouse, 1933 Lower Silver Lake Road, who visited the set of Good Morning Kansas Thursday.
Jackson said the best time to start a garden is Mother's Day, which is May 14 this year.
