The rankings are in and for the first time in history the Kansas State spring football game attendance lists among the top-10 programs in all of the nation.
Here is the rundown of the 2006 spring game attendance. Ohio State tops the list at 63,000 plus, then its Nebraska, Florida, Notre Dame, Texas, Alabama and the Cats at number seven, with 31,875.
Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech round out the top-10.
Saturday's attendance smashes the previous K-State spring game record of 18,421 and that came in 2001 on the heels of the K-State's Cotton Bowl victory over Tennessee.
The Cats kick off their season on September 2, with a four-game home-stand against Illinois State, Florida Atlantic, Marshall and Louisville.
