A man injured in a car accident Monday has died.
Justin Fujibayashi, 25, of Valley Falls, died Thursday at KU Medical Center. His car was hit Monday by a Jeep driving the wrong way.
Jessica Dennon, 26, the driver of the Jeep, was taken to St. Francis with serious injuries.
Fujibayashi was taken to Stormont Vail and later transported to KU Med Center.
Faculty members at Washburn University, where Fujibayashi was a student, say they are trying to help students cope with the news.
"When someone they know, that's their own age, dies, it's really a traumatic thing for students," Glenda Taylor, chair of the Washburn Art Department said. "And all the faculty this morning, we had a big group hug because it's really touched us all."
Fujibayashi would have graduated this semester.
The faculty and students are planning to set up a fund to help his family. Fujibayashi leaves behind a wife and 1-year-old son.
