The nation's largest pumpkin weighed in this weekend.
It was all part of the 13th annual Giant Pumpkin Growers Championship in Rhoad Island.
Ron Wallace broke the record for the world's largest pumpkin, weighing in at 1,502 lbs.
Competitive pumpkin growers were at a disadvantage this season due to the heavy rains across the east coast.
Central and Southeastern Massachusetts were the hardest hit areas.
“The prices are way up this year and the supply is very low so a lot of pumpkins for Halloween are being supplied from other states this year instead of typically from New England,” one grower said.
Officials said the previous world record was held by Larry Checkon of Pennsylvania.
He had pumpkin weighing nearly 1,500 lbs.
