Cider Days celebrates 25 years with 250 crafters

Hot apple cider and warm apple pies. Mmmmm.
You can get your fill of both and a lot of other yummy food at Cider Days. The annual fall festival is celebrating 25 years.
Local bakers can participate in an apple pie contest, judged by local celebrities.
2006 Cider Days
- When: Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Where: Kansas Expocentre, Topeka
- Cost: $5 - $6
- Age limit: All ages
A myriad of vendors will set up tents outside the Kansas Expocentre September 23 and 24.
Children can enjoy activities, including a petting zoo and pony rides.
Entertainment for children and adults will be provided.
Inside the Expocentre will be 250 of crafters selling their wares.
"This will be awesome, and it always is awesome," said Carol Crow, a Cider Days volunteer. "Great, great shopping for women and for men."
Proceeds from admission to the event will benefit the American Lung Association.
