Flat Daddies provide comfort for military families

Some military families in Maine are taking a different approach to keeping a connection with their loved ones overseas.
They're called "flat daddies," and these large cardboard cut-outs of the troops are supposed to help families with separation anxiety.
Some military children even take their flat daddies with them to school.
Deb Whitaker, wife of a soldier, said "He's kind of like our little bit of sense of security. It's nice to know he really is still there. Just to have a visual picture of him every day."
Another soldier's wife, Roxana Vanadestine, adds "I never would have thought that a piece of cardboard and a big picture would mean the world to me and my son." >
The real daddies don't have a problem with it. One soldier even says he's excited to see where the family takes him around town.
