Jackie Antonio Duncan, Jr. was arrested Tuesday in Manhattan, Kansas by the Riley County Police Department (RCPD) who was acting on a Comanche County, OK arrest warrant for Murder in the First Degree that had been issued for Duncan in Lawton, Oklahoma.
The RCPD was notified Sunday that a 14-year-old relative of the victim, who is a Manhattan resident, saw Duncan in Manhattan and recognized him. The RCPD contacted the Lawton Police Department (LPD) and confirmed the information and warrant for Duncan.
Tuesday evening, detectives from the LPD Criminal Investigation Division (CID) arrived in Manhattan to interview Duncan and secure his return to Lawton.
Wednesday morning Duncan waived extradition to Oklahoma in a Kansas District Court. He is being transported back to Lawton by LPD-CID detectives and is expected to be arraigned in Comanche County District Court on Thursday.
