Father of murdered Topeka teen calls out for justice

Topeka The father of murdered Topeka teenager wants his son’s killer brought to justice.
LaDon Brown says the days following his son's death have been tough. But he says what's even harder for the family is not knowing who ended the 17-year-old's life.
“This person is still out there and he should not be out there walking freely while my son is not,” says Brown.
Marquis Brown died Wednesday morning after he was shot in the chest at 4th and Alkire. Topeka Police say he was shot during an exchange of gunfire between two cars.
No suspects are in custody, but LaDon says he has faith detectives won't let his son's murder die. In the meantime, he says family and friends will grieve together while he pushes for justice.
“We still got a long journey ahead of us and that's why I'm trying to close the chapter of that,” says Brown.
A chapter LaDon says will one day lead him to forgive - but not forget.
Funeral services for Brown have been moved to the Good News Church at 38th and Burlingame. The wake will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the funeral following at one.
