LAWRENCE, Kan. - Brandon Rush scored 18 points as number-nine Kansas beat Kansas State 97-to-70 Wednesday night.
It was the first trip into Allen Fieldhouse for first-year Kansas State coach Bob Huggins.
Kansas (20-4 overall, 7-2 Big 12) began the game with a 15-to-2 run and led 47-to-35 at halftime.
The Wildcats (17-7, 6-3) came in with a seven-game winning streak, their longest in 19 years.
Kansas State didn't get its first field goal of the second half until Jermaine Maybank scored with 14:03 left.
Maybank came in averaging less than three points a game, but led the Wildcats with 26 points.
