45th Street in Topeka re-opens to traffic

45th Street from Adams to Topeka is now open after crews closed down the street to sand it. The street was so slick police closed it earlier this morning.
Drivers were unable to get traction, but no accidents on that stretch were reported, according to Topeka Police Dispatch.
49 News' Craig Gold examined the street conditions, and at 11 a.m. areas were still slick.
Police urge motorists to slow down and drive with caution.
Earlier 37th Street between Adams and Kansas was closed, but that has been re-opened, a dispatcher said.
