Three hundred companies and 550 booths are among the attractions at the Topeka Farm Show.
"We've got all the new technology that's coming into farming and ranching over the last several years," said Steve Guenthner, an organizer with the Topeka Farm Show.
Several booths and companies will focus on renewable energy and how to incorporate that into an agricultural operation.
Gasoline and utility bills have hurt farmers' pocketbooks in recent years. To offset those expenses, some consumers have checked into corn-burning and wood pellet stoves. The show features six manufacturers of those products.

"It's a good chance to come and see what's new in '07," Guenthner said.
He predicts ethanol and biodiesel production to continue to increase.
"It's definitely the wave of the future," he said.
Major farm equipment manufacturers will be on hand, as well as seed companies.
The livestock barn is jam-packed with activities, including daily dog and horse demonstrations. About 80 head of purebred cattle will be on display at the show.
This is the 18th year the show has been held in Topeka.
