Kansas City, MO It is the sad end to a search for Kelsey Smith.
She disappeared Saturday night after being forced into her car in the parking lot of the Target store in Overland Park.
Police found her body today near Longview Lake Park, just south of Kansas City.
Police went there after tracking signals from Kelsey's cell phone.
Officers and volunteers walked shoulder to shoulder, searching the area until they found her body, around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Officers from both Kansas and Missouri are searching for her killer.
At a press conference late Wednesday, Overland Park police chief John Douglas said they're questioning many people, but right now, he says they have no one in custody.
"What may be custody to you is not custody to us," Douglass said. "Talking to individuals about this and interrogating them is not police custody to us. We are talking to numerous people right now but I'm not ready to identify any of them as our person of interest."
So police are trying to zero in on one specific suspect, along with his dark pickup truck.
And they want to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious Saturday night between 7 and 9 near the Overland Park target store.
Kelsey's friends and family are meeting at her church in Prairie Village, where a prayer service will be held.
A reward for information about Smith's disappearance now totals $30,000.
