Two more bodies found in Greensburg
9:43 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2007
The Friday tornado wiped out the Kansas town.
It was rated an EF-5 with winds at about 205 miles per hour.
Little remains standing in the town of about 1,500 people.
The tornado demolished every business on the main street.
City leaders say one of the latest two victims was found under rubble in the middle of town. The other body was pulled from a lake.
Some residents were allowed to return Monday to collect anything they had left.
"The eyes of America are on Greenburg, Kansas and we want to make sure that they can come back and see the great rebuilding effort that is underway," Governor Kathleen Sebelius said. "We are determined to be here and be survivors"
"It's going to be very traumatic for them, there will be folks to help them though that but it's going to be a tough day," FEMA regional director Dick Hainje said.
"'Til you're here and you see it face to face reality, you can't understand it, you can't believe it," Greensburg resident Willie Schmidt said.
It wasn't all bad news for Greensburg.
Two survivors were pulled from the rubble Monday.
