Fort Riley soldier dies in Germany

Spc. Micheal D. Brown
Spc. Micheal D. Brown, 20, died Oct. 16 in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center of a non-combat-related illness after being transported from Tikrit, Iraq, Oct. 15.
Brown was an aviation operations specialist assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division. His home of record is Williamsburg, Kan.
He entered the Army in February 2005 and arrived at Fort Riley in September 2005. This was his second deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
To date, 137 Fort Riley Soldiers and Airmen have been killed while serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
