Washington DC Less than a year after he got the job, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow is stepping down.
Friday, President Bush reluctantly accepted the resignation. Snow says his ongoing battle with cancer was not the reason. Instead, Snow says he needs to make more than his current salary of $168,000 per year.
Snow will be replaced by his deputy, Dana Perino, on Sept. 14.
