Police now have a man behind bars in connection with a multi-vehicle pile-up that sent at least three people to the hospital.
27-year-old John M. Tyler, of Topeka, was arrested on charges including possession of methamphetamine, DUI, open container and reckless driving.
Police say his pick-up truck ran a red light at 17th and Gage and hit a car.
The pick-up then went into oncoming lanes and struck four other vehicles at about 6:40 p.m.

Paramedics transported three people with minor injuries.
