Expecting mothers react to massive crib recall

After the death of three children, Graco has recalled one-million baby cribs.
The massive recall is for the Simplicity Crib. The cribs have been installed incorrectly, creating a gap where children can get stuck.
Three weeks from now Lisa Brown will welcome another child into the family.
Purchasing a crib is on her list, but the recent Graco recall was news to her.
"I've been out looking for cribs the last couple weeks so I haven't heard about it. But that's kind of disturbing now that I know about it," says Brown.
Although the faulty crib has resulted in the death of three children, many parents are more focused on the joy of expecting and not the odds of a defective crib.
"I know mistakes happen, so I don't really worry about it too much. I hear about recalls so it's kind of a common place anymore," says expectant mother D’amber Mauer.
It's not just new parents who need to beware - these cribs have been in circulation since 1998. So if you get a crib from a garage sale or consignment shop, make sure you check the numbers. You can go to the Consumer Product Safety Commission website at www.cpsc.gov and sign up for automatic e-mails that let you know when a product has been recalled.
The recalled Simplicity crib models include: Aspen 3 in 1, Aspen 4 in 1, Nursery-in-a-Box, Crib N Changer Combo, Chelsea and Pooh 4 in 1. The recall also involves the following Simplicity cribs that used the Graco logo: Aspen 3 in 1, Ultra 3 in 1, Ultra 4 in1, Ultra 5 in 1, Whitney and the Trio.
The recalled cribs have one of the following model numbers, which can be found on the envelope attached to the mattress support and on the label attached to the headboard: 4600, 4605, 4705, 5000, 8000, 8324, 8800, 8740, 8910, 8994, 8050, 8750, 8760, and 8996.
