Topeka Community involvement in the City's Visioning Project is growing.
About 600 people attended a community meeting last month at the downtown Ramada, to start the process of setting a long-range vision for the Topeka area. Since then, officials say they've received more than 300 applications from citizens wanting to be involved in the process.

"People are constantly sending in applications for involvement," said Heartland Visioning Executive Director William Beteta. "On a daily basis we get new applications. We have people always contacting us or talking with us at meetings saying how much they want to participate and be involved in this and saying how much they appreciate this this is happening."
