1:31 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2008
The team had five American Professional Football League titles under their belt, and it became apparent early on that the 10-1 Koyotes were going to have to fight for a sixth title. The Koyotes did come out fighting, with Quarter Back Nathan Bolden Jr. handing it off to Running Back Mike Steen who took it in for the score. The Koyotes struck first, but missed the field goal giving them a 6-0 lead.
However, the Drillers would soon come back with two minutes left in the first quarter to make the game a 6-12 battle, favoring the Drillers.
The Koyotes would come through victoriously with a final score of 62-36 to claim their sixth APFL title.
