Matthew Broderick fans rejoice. A movie that helped launch his career has been re-released on DVD.
For those who don't remember "War Games," Broderick plays a young man who hacks into a military central computer and commences game-playing with a system that has the potential of launching missiles at Russia and possibly starting a nuclear holocaust.
25 years after the original release of "War Games," the story is still relevant, while the computers themselves are not.
The extras, including director commentary by John Badham, on the DVD are terrific, Film Critic Van Sickle said. The disc also offers some never-before-seen featurettes, including one explaining the difficulty of hacking into a U.S. military computer.
"I was a little disappointed there was no commentary from Matthew Broderick," he said.
The movie is suitable for the whole family, and Van Sickle recommends it as a purchase.
