Mental disability groups protest "Tropic Thunder"

A new comedy film is no laughing matter to some advocates for the mentally disabled.
Members of the American Association of People with Disabilities are calling for a ban on "Tropic Thunder," a movie they say mocks and demeans the less fortunate.
The "R" word is used repeatedly throughout "Tropic Thunder" to refer to Ben Stiller's character, Simple Jack.
Holding signs that said "Shame on you," protesters marched across the street from the movie's premiere Monday at the movie premiere in Los Angeles.
They're concerned the dialogue will be repeated by young moviegoers and used to bully the mentally disabled.
Stiller says it wasn't meant to offend anyone.
Dreamworks studio says no cuts will be made to the film, but it did take down a Web site promoting Stiller's Simple Jack character.
Advocates for the disabled say that isn't enough.

Is somebody suggesting that kids don't already use the 'R' word when talking to retards?
