Sen. Sam Brownback will speak on the final night of the Republican Party's national convention next month.

The Kansas Republican has been one of presidential candidate John McCain's strongest supporters since his own White House bid fizzled out.

Other speakers slated to address delegates on the convention's Wednesday night include Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist and Florida Sen. Mel Martinez. It is not clear what time Brownback will speak

The GOP convention's four-day gathering in St. Paul, Minn., runs from Sept. 1 through 4.

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is slated to speak at the Democratic National Convention, which kicks off Monday.
