Clinton: "Barack Obama is my candidate"
Hillary Clinton's task tonight was to get her supporters to whole-heartedly back Barack Obama.
She had hoped her address here would have come two days later in the form of an acceptance speech, not one designed to bring the party back together.
18 million votes or not, Hillary Clinton was in Denver as a senator, not a presidential nominee. But it was still an important night, right down to choosing the perfect pantsuit.
Introduced by her daughter Chelsea, the moment was bittersweet, taking place on the 88th anniversary of women's right to vote.
Clinton had the prime time spot, and former Virginia Governor Mark Warner delivered the keynote, the same slot that catapulted Barack Obama into the national spotlight four years ago.
Clinton will have her name placed into nomination Wednesday. The roll call will be mostly symbolic and halted midway through. Barak Obama will then be declared the official Democratic nominee.
