K-State rebuilds after tornado, celebrates with ice cream

It takes more than a tornado to destroy the spirit of K-State.
The show must-- and did go on.
Today, students and faculty celebrated the cleaned up campus at an ice cream social.
And they've come a long way.
Take a look at the campus after a tornado on June 11th went straight through the middle of the school.
65 days later, school starts on time and president Jon Wefald says things are better than ever.
"No major college campus has ever been power-washed from top to bottom on 70 buildings," Wefald said. "So I can stand here today and say K-State is the prettiest cleanest and the neatest."
K-State hasn't had an all-campus ice cream social since 1986.
