History was written Wednesday night, and Senator Hillary Clinton was holding the pen, in a carefully choreographed move that unified the party and turned a page for America.

"He will be our president," Senator Clinton said.

And then another Clinton took it one step further.

Clinton "Barack Obama is ready to be President of the United States," Bill Clinton said.

From Scott Rothschild

All this week, we've been checking in with 49 News Scott Rothschild, who's covering the Democratic convention in Denver. Tonight, he was asked if members of the Kansas delegation have the sense that they are experiencing history. "I certainly think they do. I mean the Kansas delegation is a really good combination of kind of veterans in the political wars and new people...and new people who were brought into this whole process because of Barack Obama," Rothschild said.

Then, very simply, he did the math.

"Last night, Hillary told you she was going to do everything in her power to elect Barack Obama. That makes two," Bill Clinton said.

Clinton said he was there to warm up the crowd for Joe Biden, but the VP pick didn't need much help.

"I accept your nomination," Biden said.

The Delaware Senator applauded Barack Obama for opposing the war, and then went on the attack.

"19 times he voted against the minimum wage..," Biden said about Senator McCain.

It was a night for the history books, and now Barack Obama, the first black presidential nominee of a major party in the history of the United States, will take center stage on Invesco Field Thursday night, 45 years after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech.
