Robber unsuccessful in purse-snatching attempt

Saturday evening, Topeka Police were investigating an attempted aggravated robbery to an individual that occurred in the Wal-Mart parking lot on SW 37th Street.
Officers were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot at 1301 SW 37th Street at 10:22 pm to investigate a robbery to an individual. A 25 year-old white female was in the Wal-Mart parking lot when a white female, 30’s, 5’6”, brown hair, wearing a thick, tan jacket approached her asking for directions to Wanamaker.
The next thing the victim female knew was that the suspect white female was spraying what smelled like hairspray into her eyes. The victim then felt the suspect white female begin to pull her purse off of her shoulder and when the victim female resisted, the female suspect fled on foot.
The white female observed the suspect female get into a maroon mini-van. The maroon mini-van left an unknown direction on SW 37th Street.
The victim white female suffered minor injuries to her face.
