Passing on a love of theatre
Students were treated to a performance by members of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
To be or not to be...That was the question for many kids at Topeka High School today.
Students were treated to a performance by members of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Every year, the pros travel the country to get students excited about acting in or watching live theater.
Afterwards, acting students were able to ask the experts about how to become better actors.
"I really liked being able to talk to the actors, incorporating their methods into whatever I do," student Seth Wiley said.
"The kids were so excited, and a lot of times the Shakespeare scene is their favorite scene, and they're like, 'That's so cool when you did this and did this.' It's just so exciting to see kids come out of their shell," professional actor Mariko Nakasone said.
The actors travel around the country when they're not performing in Oregon.
