Red kettle stolen from store location
5:52 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008
The Salvation Army says one of it's kettles was stolen today.
They say the kettle was taken around 3:00 from Gordman's.
There was about $150 to $175 in it.
Whoever took it cut the lock and chain on the kettle while the bell ringer was out to lunch.
Captain Chuck Yockey with the Salvation Army says it's frustrating when something like this happens.
"It's very frustrating. At this point in time, we have a lot of money to make and now someone has just helped themselves," Yockey said.
Captain Yockey also says this is the first kettle lost in several years.
