Criminals are acting up this month.
Tonight our 49 News Crime Tracker is following several crime increases.
Assaults and batteries were up 60 percent last week over the previous week.
There were 32.
Auto thefts were up 27 percent, for a total of 14.
Building thefts are way up, 111 percent. There were 19 last week.
Police have their eyes on a trend of home break-ins in this area of Central Topeka.
Citywide, there have been 103 home break-ins since the first of the year.
