Topeka City Council, District Attorney disagree

City leaders have told the district attorney to back off.
The DA said city leaders violated state law by approving the purchase of a new police helicopter.
Despite the mayor's veto, city administrators say it was legitimate.
Today, city attorneys told the DA they did nothing wrong.

The city council can override a veto just like the senate can override the presidents veto.... if they can not then why have a council ..just let the mayor make all the decisions.

Why not wait till the next election. Let the PEOPLE decide on whether they want ANOTHER chopper. It's their money.
