There was an unusual number of cases of vandalism to vehicles reported early Saturday in Emporia.
Lt. Larry Adams, of the Emporia Police Department, reported that 28 cases of criminal damages to vehicles were received in less than seven hours between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday.
“Car windows were broken out of these parked, unattended vehicles,” Adams said in a press release. The reports cam from all across the city, Adams said.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Emporia Police Department at (620) 343-4200 or Lyon County Crime Stoppers at (620) 342-CARE.
