"It's exciting to see it all come out. It was our idea, we wrote it one night and having it play out is pretty cool," said Joey Tostado, Crush director.
Joey Tostado talks about Crush, a romantic comedy about a former high school crush in small town Kansas. It premiered in Burlingame.
Isabella Tugman, one of the stars of Crush also helped with production, something that sets this film apart from a typical Hollywood blockbuster.
"I loved being behind the camera and everybody was a lot of fun to work with," said Crush star Isabella Tugman.
But getting a production company off the ground wasn't an easy sell in Burlingame.

"Here we're trying to build that and get people interested," said writer Courtney Haigh.
"It took a long time for people to see that we are serious and we know what we're doing," Tabitha Lester of T3V Productions said.
The same production company, T3V Productions is also working on a TV series, Broken Road, based on the life of Courtney, the 16 year-old writer.
"A lot of the instances I use are real experiences that I've had in my life, living here in a small town," Haigh said.
"It's about two girls, they live with their dad in Hawaii. He goes off to Iraq, so they get shipped off to stay with their mom in Kansas," said Michelle Fridley, T3V Productions.
As for Crush, the makers hope to enter it into film festivals soon.
Crush isn't the group's first film.
You can see their movie, The Key now on DVD.
