United, Frontier Airlines cut hundreds of jobs

— Hundreds of airline employees in Colorado will have to start looking for new jobs.

The top two carriers at Denver International Airport have announced job cuts.

Frontier Airlines says it is cutting about 450 jobs in Colorado.

United Airlines has told state officials it plans to eliminate 150 jobs in the state.

Frontier filed for bankruptcy protection in April and warned job cuts would be coming.

United said its cuts are part of changes to make sure the airline was cost efficient.
