Cool and creamy tradition continues

Kids with disabilities got a cool treat on this hot summer day.
Children from Capper's Kidlink Preschool and Childcare Program were treated to some free ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery today.
It's in celebration of former Governor and Senator Arthur Capper's birthday.
Capper used to celebrate his birthday by giving out free ice cream at a picnic in the park.
Giving children ice cream on Senator Capper's birthday has now become a Topeka tradition.
