Saving on Gas: Ride bike on errands

Ride a bike on short trips.
If you found a quarter on the ground, you'd pick it up. That's how much it costs me to drive one mile.
On a short trip you could walk or ride your bike. My dry cleaners is just a half-mile from my house. I ride my bike and save 25 cents.
Maybe that doesn't seem like much of a savings, and maybe I can run another errand while I'm out as well. So it comes out to 50 cents!
But I'm getting some exercise, too.
