A local mom and volunteer is being remembered in a big way.
Krista Wagner died in March after getting the flu.
Krista worked for St. Francis and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
Today, St. Francis donated $4,000 to establish a Meals on Wheels delivery route in Krista's honor.
"She loved delivering meals. It is a great experience," Meals on Wheels CEO and President Jane Metzger said. "It's one of those things that kind of grows on you. So I would think she is smiling down on us as one of those angels of mercy."
Every day, Meals on Wheels serves more than 700 homebound and elderly people in our area.
