Antique dealers, collectors to converge on Washburn campus

More than 30 dealers from the Midwest will turn out for the 8th Annual Mulvane Women's Board Antique Show and Sale this weekend at Washburn University.

The dealers, showcasing everything from linens to military collectibles, will set up in Lee Arena at the Petro Allied Health Center.

"It's always something new," said Mulvane Women's Board Co-chairperson Trella Anderson. "And whether you are looking to add to something or whether you are just there because you don't know what antiques are all about and you are not sure if they are for you, you can find anything from handkerchiefs and linens to political buttons to very fine crystal."

  • When: Saturday, July 26, 2008, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"They are working antiques into their floral art arrangements,"

The cost of the antique show is $5 at the door. Proceeds go to benefit the Mulvane Art Museum.

And, for those who are still hungry for more art after visiting the show, admission to the Mulvane Art Museum is free.
