Riley County Police seize ecstasy, arrest four individuals on drug charges

Narcotics detectives from the Riley County Police Department made several drug-related arrests Thursday.

As a result of the crackdown, police seized more than 150 pills of ecstasy with an estimated street value of more than $2,000, according to a press release from the Riley County Police Department.

Two individuals were arrested as a result an investigation into the distribution of ecstasy in the Riley County area.

They were Nashon D. Zellows, 30, address unknown, and Jonathan L. Ellis, 28, of Junction City, the release states.

Both men were arrested on the following charges: sale of ecstasy, no Kansas drug tax stamp and unlawful use of a telecommunication device. In addition, Zellows also was arrested for possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute and Ellis, conspiracy to distribute ecstasy.

As a result of a separate investigation into the distribution of cocaine in the Riley County area, two additional individuals were arrested. They are:

Daniel J. Anderson, 22, of Manhattan, on sale of cocaine, no Kansas drug tax stamp and unlawful use of telecommunication device charges; and Jennifer M. Norwood, 21, of Manhattan, on sale of cocaine and no Kansas drug tax stamp charges, the release states.

The investigations into the distribution of cocaine and ecstasy in Riley County continues, and there are additional charges and arrests expected, according to the release.
