Across the nation folks are seeing gas drop on average just below $4 a gallon..
In Kansas, people are seeing even lower gas prices.
A national survey shows Wichita has the cheapest gas in the nation at $3.61 a gallon, but Topeka is pretty competitive when it comes to cheap gas.
After seeing prices like $4.05 per gallon in Topeka, it's a relief to all to see it at $3.42. Folks were taking notice.
"Well, I just got back from vacation, and I was paying $4.50 a gallon in Colorado and this seems really nice," motorist Kristen Koller said.

On a 15-gallon tank, she's saving nearly $15.
Topeka prices were hitting $4 less than three weeks ago when oil was $147 a barrel.
"I have an economy car at home, but my truck is not economy, so I fill it up and couple gas cans for it because I follow oil prices per barrel on TV, and everyone likes to raise their prices as soon as a barrel of oil goes up," motorist Dean Kozad said.
Monday oil was nearly $125 a barrel, with the average prices around town around $3.52 to $3.62 for unleaded.
Tanya Fraker was cautiously optimistic when filling up today.

"I'm glad to see it down from the $4, so at least it's getting more reasonable, but I don't ever expect it to get to where it was," she said.
With gas at $3.42 a gallon being called a bargain price Dean Kozad said "who would have ever thought we'd thought that way."
Just a year ago, the price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was more than a dollar a gallon cheaper on average.
