Biking for cancer
11:58 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008
Eric Nordgren headed out at midnight on a bike ride across Kansas. He's raising money for local cancer victims.
The route will start with 335 miles, 25 hours from Topeka to Atwood.
Last year Nordgren raised $15,000 in one day after riding 228 miles.
"Part of the finds that we raise will go to research and will go toward those who are experiencing the illness and to help support them and their everyday need," Nordgren said.
Nordgren's sons will take turns riding with him. Their efforts will continue throughout the summer.
