One person's trash may not be code violation

"I think on the other side of this RV is a stack of tires. I can see a stack of tires back there," says neighbor Sean Gatewood.
He lives a couple of doors down from a house he says has been an eyesore for the past five years.
"I just wish it looked like some of the houses in the neighborhood with not so much trash and a pretty clean yard," says Gatewood.
But he says in the past two weeks, things have started to look up.
"They've made drastic improvements. I know they are working hard," he says.
But although the yard might look messy, not everything in the yard is a code violation. The lawn mower and RV and lawn furniture are allowed. But the tires and other items could be considered nuisance violations. Any kind of trash, refuse, scrap metal, anything that will harbor mosquitoes or mice is a code violation.
But Gatewood fears history will repeat itself with this yard.
"There ought to be some kind of due process to take care of that where it doesn't happen over and over again," he said.
There are currently no open code violations on the property.
The owner of the property says health problems are keeping him from fixing things up quickly. But, he says, he is working on it.

Perhaps Mr.Sean Gatewood. Should have gone and offered help instead of making a public complaint ?

This individual has plenty of help, there is alot of people that live at this residence. The owner is a business owner in town that just transports his trash to the business whenever there is a complaint. "health problems" is simply a bogus excuse, when he is put on the spot.
