Topekans who traveled through downtown Friday may have seen protesters gathered on the corner of Ninth and Kansas in support of former radio talk show host Jim Cates.
Cates left Cumulus earlier in the week after announcing he would originally retire at the end of the year.
In a response to 49 News, Cumulus general manager Spike Santee issued this statement:
"This is internal business and we don't comment on internal business. We wish Jim well."
Jim Cates also hosts Kansas Global Impact which can be seen here on KTKA as well as online at kansas_global_impact.com.
