A purse snatcher in Manhattan is costing women thousands of dollars.
More than 10 women are victims.
The crimes occurred in the east shopping district in Manhattan.
Police tell us, in most cases, women leave their purses behind in shopping carts.
Still, one victim lives in fear.
"I know a lot of people say 'oh, it's just a purse, it's a petty crime,'" Andrea Bell said. "I feel violated. I'm scared to do that now, because they know where I live. My address and everything is in the purse."
Riley County Police say never leave personal items unattended in public.
The crimes are still under investigation.
