Dogstock organizer faces charges stemming from alleged fraud

The man who heads a fundraiser for a dog rescue foundation is in jail.
Randy Long, 52, is now accused of writing numerous bad checks to people who provided services for the event such as bands, crews and vendors, according to a press release from the Osage County Sheriff's Office.
He is charged with 18 felony counts of giving a worthless check and one count of criminal damage to property.
The combined loss for victims is $48,733.45, the release states.
The weekend camping and concert event, which supports Akita Adoption and Rescue Foundation, is held in Osage County every year.
Dogstock 2008 has already been promoted and advertised for this coming Memorial Day weekend. It is unknown at this time whether the show will go on.
