The world's largest retailer delivers its largest gift ever for an organization in Kansas.
The gift is for the University of Kansas.
The University's Center for Research on Learning picked up a $700,000 grant Wednesday from the Wal-Mart Foundation.
The money will help expand tutoring services to work with Boys and Girls Clubs.
The goal is to help thousands of kids improve their abilities to read, learn and succeed.
The Center's Don Deshler expects the program to be ready for testing this fall.
